Prima Engraver Card

I feel like it's been a while since I sat down and made a card.  I almost left the scrapbook store without this Prima Engraver paper collection but I'm so glad I picked it up.  I busted out my super old Martha Stewart butterfly stamps and popped them off the card.  I used the Mojo Monday card sketch and love how my card turned out.  I'm a little rusty with my fussy cutting but I went for it anyway.

I am sharing my card in the following challenges;

 Have a great night!

Rescue Boat - Art Journal Page

When I'm working in my journal I don't always know what my page will look like until I'm done.  I almost gave up on this page a few times but instead of throwing it out
I just kept adding layers of paint, stamps, and stencils.

I knew how to sail a boat before I knew how to drive a car.
I grew up on the water and miss it so much.

Face #2 of 29

I think I have been avoiding my drawing lately....I'm not sure why.  I really want to learn how to draw the face in different angles.  I think it's such a challenge to get everything in the right spot so my goal is to draw as many faces as I can and take a break from the frontal view.  It did take me a lot longer to sketch this last night but I'm happy with what came out.  I almost gave was getting late and I erased a bunch of times.  I would like to get to the point where I'm comfortable with setting down the lines and drawing any face I see.  So, here is my second face.

Thank you all for your great comments on my face #1.  I'm on my way to visit blogs tonight and I'm looking forward to seeing everyones work!

Before I go I want to recommend a book I got from the book store which
helped me so much last night.  It's Giovanni Civardi's Complete Guide to Drawing.

I plan on buying the other books he has out.  He has great step by step lessons.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

29 Faces Challenge - Face #1

I have decided to join the 29 Faces Challenge again!  I hope to make as many faces as possible.  I have two new watercolor pads so I plan to use those and my Moleskine to fill the pages with faces.  I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself...I'm just going to go for it.

So, here is my first face....

...more to come.

Please visit the 29 Faces Challege blog
to see more face or join the challenge.
